How to Use UCAN

Jody LeVos is a T1D endurance athlete who utilizes UCAN both for exercise and in her daily life as a tool to keep blood sugars in range. Here are some tips to get started:

  • Experiment with UCAN as you would with any new food you might try for the first time.
  • Try UCAN without exercise first to see how your glucose reacts to it for a few hours.
  • Experiment with your bolus intake. You might use a different amount
from what you usually need with carbs in other sports nutrition
    products.
